Canoeing in the wilderness looking for moose, sailing the world’s biggest lake and getting soaked by epic waterfalls; you can definitely find adventure in Canada, and quite often it is the kind that has the danger of getting you wet.

My Top 10 Instagram photos from 2012

Posted by on January 9th, 2013 in Feature, Misc, Photos | 4 comments

2012 was a big year for me, I more-or-less integrated back into the society after my Round-The-World trip, I ran with the bulls in Pamplona and I finally signed up for Instagram. So instead of doing a normal post of what I’ve been up to in 2012, I thought I’d pick my top 10 photos from my Instagram feed from 2012. And as a side note, I am completely aware that my posting schedule for December was dubious at best, as I did have a holiday of sorts, but fear not, for my normal posting schedule resumes again! And there are some awesome posts lined up! Second photo on my list is St. Paul’s Cathedral in London with sort of HDR look of an old post card; I suppose this is the classic over processed quality you often see...

London Autumn – Photo essay

Posted by on December 1st, 2012 in Destinations, England, Europe, London | 8 comments

Autumn is a second spring when every leaf is a flower Albert Camus   Last year I completely missed autumn as I was in South East Asia the whole time; and there isn’t that much colours during the fall there. So it has been two years since I’ve seen one; and I hadn’t quite realized how much I actually had missed them. I mean I’ve always liked them, but hadn’t realized you could actually miss them. Now London autumns probably aren’t quite the best you can see, compared to the likes of Finland or Scotland, as some people were quick to remind me when I was raving on and on about the London autumn. But hey, if you haven’t seen an autumn for two years, London is pretty good. Unfortunately the autumn was pretty cloudy the whole time, so...

[Not a valid template] So, you’re planning on going on a date with a vegan girl you like; she also doesn’t drink at all, so you don’t quite know where to take her. Well, worry not, for I have a restaurant for you! Meat Liquor! No, don’t worry about the name; it’s just deep in irony kind of thing; much like the outside of the restaurant, where you can’t even read the sign of the restaurant properly unless you squint your eyes. [Not a valid template] Just have a look at their web site. They say “No Meat. No Liquor”, they also specifically mention that “We are a restaurant” which is always good to know about a place if you are planning on going there to eat. And that is pretty much the only thing they say on their...

Arriving to New Zealand, to Auckland

Posted by on June 14th, 2011 in New Zealand, Photos, Polynesia | 6 comments

[Not a valid template] I caught my 7am flight to Auckland after a few hours of sleep at the Papeete airport and arrived 6 hours later at 11am to Auckland, New Zealand. But to my shock it was the next day, I lost a day. I hadn’t realized I was crossing the date line, new experience for me. But then again, since I started this trip, I usually have no idea what day it is anyway, so shouldn’t really make a difference. I pulled out the immigration form for New Zealand and set to work, but there were a few peculiar questions that caused me some issues. Could had been more to do with the sleep deprivation thou. [Not a valid template] Are you here for the Rugby World Cup? I didn’t know that the World Cup was right...
